The American Batik Design Competition will select 9 best American batik designs with details as follows:
- First place winners (3 people)
Three first place winners will each receive a total prize value of $15,000 which includes roundtrip ticket from the USA to Indonesia, accommodation and air ticket forfor a 2 weeks batik tour (Jakarta, Solo, Yogyakarta, Bali, Palembang/Mataram/Makasar, and Jakarta), award of $5,000, exhibitions in the US (San Francisco and Washington D.C.), and in Indonesia (Jakarta).
- Second place winners (3 people)
Three second place winners will each win award of $2500 and exhibitions in the US (San Francisco and Washington D.C).
- Third place winners (3 people)
Three third place winners will each win award of $1,500 and exhibitions in the US (San Francisco and Washington D.C.).
